Canara Robeco Flexi Cap Fund, a key fund from the stable of India’s second oldest asset manager Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, has completed 21 years of investing in companies across market capitalization. The scheme aims at generating capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity related securities. The inception date of the fund is 16th September 2003.

Benchmarked against BSE 500 TRI, Canara Robeco Flexi Cap Fund has delivered a CAGR of 18.31% to investors as compared to 17.23% delivered by its benchmark index, the fund house said in a statement. Its additional benchmark BSE SENSEX TRI has delivered 17.58% during this period.

The Assets Under Management (AUM) of the Canara Robeco Flexi Cap Fund stood at Rs 13,510.37 crore as of August 30, 2024.

Shridatta Bhandwaldar, Head Equities, Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, said, “Our Flexi Cap Fund is a growth quality tilt portfolio with some blend of cyclicals. Canara Robeco Flexi Cap Fund’s portfolio is spread across 67 stocks with the top 10 stocks contributing 37% of the net assets. Diversification across market capitalization might provide risk adjusted returns for investors, he said. “Our fund invests in compounders which are companies operating in a competitive environment but have a unique business model to assist investors generate returns year on year.”

If we talk about the fund’s performance in 10 years and 5 years, it has delivered annualised returns of 14.35% and 21.71%, respectively. In the shorter terms, 1 and 3 years, it has given 34.91% and 14.56% yields.

With a CAGR return of 18.31% since September 2003, an investor would have seen his Rs 1 lakh investment turning into Rs 34 lakh now in September 2024.

Likewise, an SIP of Rs 10,000 per month started in September 2003 would have turned into a massive Rs 1.8 crore corpus now after 21 years.
