Defence Contract Win
In a significant development, Sahana System Limited announced that its subsidiary, Softvan Limited, has emerged as the L1 (lowest evaluated bidder) for GeM Bid No. GEM/2025/B/5870067, a contract awarded by the Indian Navy, Ministry of Defence.
The bid, valued at Rs. 8.01 crore, involves the provision of Non-RF Infrastructure for the Upgradation of the RF Measurement System. The scope of work includes delivery, installation, and configuration of each unit within agreed timelines, in accordance with client-specific requirements. The contract also mandates a three-year warranty from the date of supply.
The company’s sales for the year ended were Rs 167 crores. In that context, the Rs 8 cr contract though not massive, is significant nevertheless.
According to the company’s press release, successful execution of this project is expected to pave the way for further opportunities with the Indian Navy, especially considering the stringent experience and performance criteria often required for future bids in the defence sector.
Understanding the Non-RF Infrastructure Component
A key aspect of this project is the Non-RF Infrastructure, which supports the functioning of the RF (Radio Frequency) Measurement System—a critical tool used by the Navy for testing and validating communication and radar systems.
While the RF system handles the transmission and analysis of radio signals, the non-RF infrastructure includes essential support systems such as:
- Power distribution
- Grounding and shielding
- Cooling systems
- Structured cabling
- Structural setups
- Control systems
These components ensure the RF equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. This upgrade is part of the Indian Navy’s broader modernization initiative aimed at strengthening its electronic warfare and communication testing capabilities.
In essence, Non-RF Infrastructure forms the backbone that enables RF systems to function optimally.

The company has also declared its first interim dividend for FY26 of Rs 1 per share, with the record date set as June 27, 2025. Notably, the Promoter and Promoter Group have voluntarily waived their entitlement to this dividend.
