Bharti Airtel

Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has taken a key step related to its earlier rights issue. The board has approved the first and final call of Rs 401.25 per share on partly paid-up equity shares. These shares were issued in 2021 and currently have a paid-up value of Rs 1.25. Shareholders will now need to pay the remaining amount, including a premium, to convert them into fully paid shares.

HCLTech

Information technology company HCL Technologies has announced an acquisition deal. It will acquire the telecom solutions business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The move is aimed at strengthening HCLTech’s engineering services and artificial intelligence-led network offerings. The acquisition will help the company deepen its engagement with global communication service providers.

Lupin

Pharmaceutical company Lupin has announced a fresh overseas partnership. Its subsidiaries in the Philippines and Brazil have signed an exclusive licensing deal with Italy-based Neopharmed Gentili S.p.A. The agreement allows Lupin to market and promote the gastroenterology brand Plasil in both countries.

BLS International

BLS International Services received a major legal relief. The Delhi High Court has cancelled the debarment imposed on the company by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India. The earlier order had barred BLS from bidding for future ministry tenders for two years. With the court setting aside the restriction, the company can now participate again in overseas consular and visa service contracts.

GPT Infraprojects

Infrastructure company GPT Infraprojects has secured a large public works contract. The project, worth Rs 1,804.48 crore, has been awarded by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. It involves building a flyover on LBS Marg to improve connectivity between Kurla and Ghatkopar in Mumbai’s eastern suburbs.

Amber Enterprises India has outlined expansion plans for its research operations. The company will expand its advanced research and development centre for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products in Punjab.

ABFRL

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail has received a tax order from Maharashtra authorities. The Deputy Commissioner of State Tax in Mumbai raised a total demand of Rs 13.77 crore after completing audit proceedings. This includes tax, interest, and penalty components.

NSE to launch derivatives on four new stocks

The National Stock Exchange of India has announced changes in its derivatives segment. Futures and options contracts will be introduced for four individual stocks from December 31, 2025. The stocks include Bajaj Holdings and Investment, Premier Energie, Swiggy, and Waaree Energies. The move follows approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
