For the second consecutive year, India has emerged as the second most hospitable country in Asia. According to travel site TripAdvisor, India shares the second spot with Thailand with 28 awards in Asia close on the heels of Indonesia with 35 awards.
In fact, 14 Indian hotels have secured spots in the top 10 ranks across 6 categories bargain, family, luxury, B&Bs and Inns, small and top. And though there is a representation in each category in the Asia list, India dominates in the Family, Bargain and B&Bs and Inns categories.
With the country offering climatic variety (from mountains, to beaches, to desert, heritage sites and much more), India has proveed to be a great destination for travelers. Also, the Indian rupee being cheaper compared to other major currencies, travelers look forward to accommodations in affordable price band.
