Television’s much-loved Gopi Bahu is now a real-life bahu! We’re not talking about Devoleena Bhattacharjee but the ‘original Gopi Bahu’ Gia Manek, who became the iconic daughter-in-law in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She tied the knot with fellow TV star Varunn Jain in a sacred Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony. Gia ruled hearts with her portrayal of the innocent yet unforgettable Gopi Bahu. Whether it was the famous scene where she washed a laptop with detergent or her chemistry with onscreen husband Ahem ji, Gia definitely left a mark with her role.

On Thursday, the actor shared her joy with fans, posting dreamy pictures from her wedding on Instagram. Dressed in a golden saree and holding her husband close, Gia looked radiant as she wrote,, “With the grace of Divine and Master’s and with all the love showered, we’ve stepped into this forever union — hand in hand, heart to heart. We were two friends, today we’re husband & wife. So grateful for the love, blessings and wishes from all our loved ones who made this day so special. Cheers to a lifetime of laughter, adventure, memories, and togetherness as Mr. & Mrs. Gia & Varunn.”

Even after she left the show, years later, her ‘Rasode Mein Kaun Tha’ clip, remixed by Yashraj Mukhate, turned into a viral internet sensation.

Her husband, Varunn Jain, is also a well-known face in the television industry, having worked in popular shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum and Pehredaar Piya Ki. The wedding brought together their shared worlds of stardom and friendship into an intimate new chapter.

What is Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha?

The couple’s ceremony was not a typical TV-celebrity wedding. They chose Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha, a unique ritual offered by the Isha Foundation. Rooted in yogic tradition, it focuses on purifying the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space, earth, water, fire, air, and space within the human system. During the ceremony, the couple walks around the sacred fire, a ritual that signifies a bond deeper than just the physical.

Fans and celebrities soon took over the social media and filled it with congratulatory messages, celebrating Gia’s transition from playing an iconic on-screen bahu to stepping into her new role in real life.
