Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar wave continues unabated, as the Aditya Dhar film has been smashing box office records even on its 27th day of release. The latest record the film has broken is maintaining its double-digit streak for 27 consecutive days. Neither Christmas nor New Year releases have been able to inch any closer to the film’s blockbuster collections. Even on Day 28, Dhurandhar has earned over Rs 15 crore. On January 1, Agastya Nanda‘s debut film Ikkis was released, and the collection has been below expectations. Despite being a solo release on New Year’s Day, the film could barely manage Rs 7 crore.

While Dhurandhar collections have helped end 2025 on a brilliant note, many films released in December and January, have been impacted by the film’s dream run. The Akshaye Khanna-starrer’s excellent word of mouth is fuelling its consistent performance at the box office.

Here are all the films that got hit by the Dhurandhar tornado.

Ikkis

Dharmendra’s last film Ikkis may be the latest one to get impacted by Dhurandhar’s historic run. Shifting its release from December 25 to January 1, may not have benefitted the film as it has opened below the mark at the box office. In spite of earning rave reviews for Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Agastya Nanda’s performances and brilliant storytelling, on social media, the film’s collections remained underwhelming.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri

Bollywood’s Christmas releases have traditionally performed well at the box office be it Dangal, 3 Idiots, Ghajini or Tiger Zinda Hai. So, when Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday‘s film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri released on December 25, it was expected to do well. Called a ‘complete entertainment package’ by social media users, the film couldn’t get the required numbers. The Sameer Vidwans directorial barely made Rs 7.75 crore at the box office and the collections fell further on weekend – Rs 5.5 crore (Saturday) and Rs 5 crore (Sunday), indicating a lukewarm response.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2

Kapil Sharma‘s sequel to 2015 hit film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon has turned out to be one of the biggest Bollywood flops with the film opening to Rs 1.85 cr on December 12, 2025. This may be the worst affected film due to Dhurandhar wave, as it released just a week after Ranveer-Singh starrer hit the theatres. Trade expert Taran Adarsh took to social media to share that he had warned Dharma Productions to delay Kapil’s film release due to the ongoing Dhurandhar fever. His prediction came to be true.

“5 days before the release, I called Dharma Productions’ team and requested that they postpone the release. I told them, ‘There’s a strong Dhurandhar wave. You still have time. Even if you get the screens, you won’t get the audience’. When I saw the film, I told Kartik Aaryan that he made a mistake by coming amid the Dhurandhar wave,” Adarsh wrote.

Makers are now re-releasing the film on January 9, hoping for a better run at the box office.

Dhurandhar 2 to affect 2026 releases?

Not just Dhurandhar, but the film’s second part has also impacted 2026 major films’ release schedule.

Dhamaal 4

After Dhurandhar’s success, filmmakers are cautious about not clashing with part 2 of the Ranveer Singh starrer and hence postponing release dates. Ajay Devgn has reportedly decided to shift his comedy film Dhamaal 4 to May 2026 to avoid clash with both Dhurandhar 2 and toxic.

Bhoot Bangla

Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy slated for April release, has been postponed to a later date to avoid Dhurandhar 2 clash. The makers are currently looking at alternative dates.

Alpha

After moving their film from Christmas 2025 to April 2026, YRF spy universe movie, Alpha, directed by Shiv Ravail and starring Alia Bhatt, is reportedly being shifted to a later date to avoid both Dhurandhar and Battle of Galwan clash.
