As Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar makes big waves at the box office, it continues to break its own records. However, gaining even a louder cheer is Akshaye Khanna, who plays the effortless villain – Rahman Dakait. Creating his very own Bobby Deol moment on his entry song, fans cannot get over his infinite aura-exuding presence on screen.

Headlined by actors like Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, Khanna has managed to overshadow them all. However, no film is complete without controversy, and Dhurandhar quickly found itself at the centre of it. Riding on the buzz, it has managed to maintain a more than Rs 20 crore run throughout the week with a Rs 75 crore debut weekend alone. Dhurandhar collection day 7: Box office update

According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar opened with an impressive Rs 28 crore and picked up even more momentum on Saturday, earning Rs 32 crore. Sunday saw a strong 34% jump, taking the day’s total to Rs 43 crore and pushing the opening weekend collection past Rs 75 crore. The film held steady on Monday as well—despite a 45% dip, it still brought in Rs 23 crore, making it one of the most resilient weekday performers since the pandemic. Globally, Dhurandhar has reached Rs 278 crore, with overseas earnings contributing Rs 58 crore. The film continued its solid run through the week, adding Rs 26 crore on day five and Rs 23 crore on day six. Day 7 saw a Rs 27 crore jump, helping Dhurandhar cross the Rs 200 crore mark in India within just the first week.

Occupancy numbers in Delhi NCR and Mumbai stood neck to neck across the 2500 shows in the cities at 42%. However, the overall occupancy rate remained a healthy 39% across India. Pune showed an increased occupancy of 50%, while Bengaluru filled 51% seats.

Can these upcoming films slow down Dhurandhar?

As Dhurandhar completes its overly successful one-week run, Friday brings with it a few challenges. Can the Ranveer Singh crime-thriller sustain the pressure?

The upcoming films include Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2 along with Hollywood movies starring Emma Mackey in Ella McCay and British Christmas comedy, Christmas Karma. Regional cinema, Akhanda 2 and Mahasenha, are also set to offer a stiff competition to Dhurandhar.
