Captain America Brave New World box office collection Day 1: As Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to a close with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it set the stage for a fresh wave of superheroes to return to the big screen. Phase Five began with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and will conclude with Thunderbolts, set to release on May 2.

“Captain America: Brave New World” received a cold response on opening day at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 4.3 crore in net earnings according to Industry tracker Sacnilk. The earnings breakdown shows that the English version led with Rs 2.25 crore, followed by Rs 1.5 crore from the Hindi version, Rs 0.35 crore from Tamil, and Rs 0.2 crore from Telugu. These figures are based on early estimates for Day 1 (1st Friday).

Captain America: Brave New World is the penultimate film of this phase, which marks Anthony Mackie’s first solo outing as the new Captain America, has not received the warm reception fans and critics had hoped for.  

The movie, the fourth instalment in the Captain America series and the 35th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is directed by Julius Onah. Alongside Mackie as Sam Wilson (Captain America), the cast includes Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford.
