Caitlyn Jenner will now be legally allowed to keep her Olympic medals that she had won before transition as Bruce Jenner.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that they had no issue with the former athlete’s gender transformation and since she had received the accolade after competing in decathlon as a man in 1976 Olympic Games, it was all hers, the Independent reported.

Notably, over 10,000 people had signed the petition calling for the IOC to revoke the 65-year-old former Olympian’s medal, but Mark Adams, IOC Communications Director, confirmed that Jenner’s victory that made world record flouted the competition’s gender rules and should be void.
