Arbaaz Khan on Baba Siddique’s death: The tragic murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique has sent shockwaves through both the political fraternity and Bollywood. The well-known leader, who was a beloved figure in both spheres, was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar, sustaining fatal gunshot wounds. Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries on Saturday night.

Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, while speaking to the media, expressed his grief over the loss, calling Siddique a “very close family friend and a loved person.” Reflecting on Siddique’s popularity, Arbaaz said, “Baba Siddique sir was a very, very close family friend and a much-loved person. During Eid, the whole industry would gather at his place, and his demise is quite saddening. We are all affected by this incident. It’s very unfortunate, and we are trying to recover from this loss.”

Baba Siddique, a prominent figure in Maharashtra’s political landscape, was known for his close ties with the Bollywood fraternity, particularly with Salman Khan and his family. His Eid bashes were a significant event, often attended by leading figures from the film industry. The outpouring of grief following his death highlights the deep connections he had built across both worlds.

On Sunday, Baba Siddique’s last rites were performed with full state honours at Bada Qabrastan in Mumbai. The sombre event saw an outpouring of support from political figures and celebrities alike, who came together to mourn the loss of a respected leader and dear friend.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has made headway in the investigation, arresting four accused so far, while three others remain absconding. Authorities revealed that the plot to assassinate Siddique had been in motion for over three months. According to the police, the planning took place in Pune, and the suspects had visited Siddique’s residence several times unarmed before the attack.

Over 15 people have been interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation, and efforts are still underway to capture the remaining suspects. The police are leaving no stone unturned in bringing those responsible to justice.

Baba Siddique’s murder marks a devastating loss for both Maharashtra’s political scene and the Bollywood industry. As investigations continue, the thoughts and prayers of many remain with Siddique’s family and those deeply affected by his untimely death.
