Diljit Dosanjh and Alia Bhatt are reuniting after eight years since their last collaboration in ‘Udta Punjab’. The two recently shared a glimpse from the set of their upcoming film ‘Jigra’, which also features Vedang Raina of ‘The Archies’ fame. On Friday, Alia posted a photo on her Instagram, showing her sitting in a chair labeled “The said Kudi,” while Diljit’s chair humorously read “Sings about Kudi.” Alia captioned the post, “Chairs say it all.”
Fans were quick to react to the post, with one commenting, “While the world fights for tickets, she’s collaborating with the man himself.” Another fan excitedly wrote, “The ‘ik kudi’ duo is back, y’all!” Additional comments included, “This is going to be my new favorite track,” “Can’t wait for this song to drop,” and “So Alia X Diljit, the superhit musical collaboration, is officially happening, and we are FREAKING OUT.”
The duo last appeared together in ‘Udta Punjab’ (2016), directed by Abhishek Chaubey, alongside Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.
‘Jigra’, directed by Vasan Bala, is scheduled for release on October 11. The film is co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. This will be Alia’s first major release of the year, following her role in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Meanwhile, Diljit is gearing up for his European tour this month, and later, he will perform across 10 Indian cities from October to December as part of his Dil-Luminati India tour.
