Scaler School of Technology (SST), Bangalore, has announced full scholarships for the winners of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2024. The 36th edition of IOI took place in Egypt from September 1 to 8, 2024. Scaler’s scholarships are aimed at Indian students who earned global recognition through their performance. Additionally, Scaler will offer direct interview opportunities to zonal winners who earned medals at state and regional levels.

A total of 60 students received medals at the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics (INOI) 2024, with 34 progressing to the International Olympiad in Informatics Training Camp. Four of these students represented India at IOI 2024.

Scaler’s founder, Anshuman Singh, expressed his support, saying, “These deserving students often don’t receive the recognition they deserve, and we risk losing them to foreign universities. We must act swiftly to retain this talent.”

The Indian team at IOI 2024 consisted of Samik Goyal, Sushil Raaja U, Kshitij Sodani, and Yash Thakker. They matched India’s best-ever performance, with Kshitij securing a gold medal, Samik and Sushil winning silver, and Yash earning a bronze. This marks the third consecutive year that all four Indian participants brought home medals.

The IOI is recognized as the premier computer science competition for secondary school students globally. India’s team was selected through a rigorous process, beginning with the INOI and culminating in the IOI Training Camp.
