NEET UG Result 2024 Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final, revised results for NEET UG 2024 today. Candidates can check their updated results at exams.nta.ac.in. Please note that a link to download revised scorecards is currently accessible at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET, but this link is outdated and pertains to earlier results following a re-test for 1,563 candidates. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed earlier that the final revised results will be announced within the next two days.
This year, the all-India rank 1 was shared by 67 students. Of these, six students were awarded extra marks for time lost due to invigilator errors, while 44 students received grace marks for an incorrect physics question. With the Supreme Court’s decision to accept only one accurate answer for each question, the revised results will reflect these changes. Consequently, the 44 students who previously scored 715 out of 720 will now be ranked after those who scored 720 and the 70 students who received 716 marks out of 720.

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has called for the abolition of the NEET UG and the reinstatement of the “old system” for medical admissions. On X, she slammed the irregularities in the NEET-UG Medical Examination, which have reached Parliament and the Supreme Court. She expressed concern over the pain and mental anguish experienced by candidates and their families.
Mayawati also accused the Centre of failing to manage the exam effectively, suggesting that ending the centralised NEET UG-PG exam and reinstating the previous system, as many state governments demand, might be a better solution.
The cut-off this year for general and general-PH category candidates has increased from 720-137 last year to 720-164.

On July 23, the Supreme Court denied requests for a re-test over concerns of paper leaks and other irregularities. The court concluded that there was no evidence indicating that the NEET-UG 2024 results were fundamentally compromised or that there was a “systemic breach” affecting the integrity of the examination.
The PIB in a press note said, “The revised results for NEET UG (2024) have not been declared yet. Kindly wait for the official information.”
The NTA will release a revised merit list following a Supreme Court decision, which is expected to affect approximately 400,000 students. Among these are 44 students who scored a perfect 720, according to a media report.

This revelation highlights a significant breach in exam security and integrity.
