Civil Services Prelims 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2024 today, i.e., on June 16. The General Studies paper was scheduled for the morning session from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, while the CSAT paper took place in the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Over 44,000 students have participated for this challenging exam.
No valuables, mobile phones, digital watches, IT gadgets, books, or bags were permitted inside the exam premises.

There will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for incorrect answers marked by candidates in both question papers of the Examination.
Candidates may wear normal or simple wristwatches inside the Examination Rooms/Halls. However, the use of watches equipped with communication devices or smart features is strictly prohibited inside the Examination Rooms/Halls.
Candidates are advised against bringing valuables, costly items, or bags to the Examination Venue, as their safekeeping cannot be guaranteed. The Commission bears no responsibility for any loss in this regard.

Metro train services on Phase-III sections, which typically start at 8:00 AM on Sundays, will commence at 6:00 AM this Sunday, June 16, 2024. The DMRC announced on Friday to ANI that this adjustment is to accommodate candidates appearing for the Civil Services (Prelim) Examination conducted by UPSC on the same day.
