UPSC CSE Result 2023 Highlights: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services 2023 exam today. Candidates who attended the personality test can view their results on the official websites – upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in. Candidates can check their results at the official website – upsc.gov.in. This year, Aditya Srivastava and Animesh Pradhan have bagged All India Rank 1 and 2 respectively, followed by Donuru Ananya Reddy at the third position.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination for 2023 were held on May 28 last year. Successful candidates from the Prelims then partipated in the Mains examination, held on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023, with sessions running from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. The results for the UPSC CSE Mains were declared on December 8. The interviews or personality tests for the CSE 2023 were conducted in three phases spanning from January 2 to April 9.
The UPSC is looking forward to fill 1,105 positions across various central government services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), among others. It is worth noting that the overall pass percentage of women has seen an uptick in the last fea years.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 aims to occupy 1,105 positions across diverse central government services and departments, encompassing roles in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
The Personality Test of candidates was held by the UPSC in three phases from January 2 to April 9, 2024.

Step 3: Click on the link and enter your login credentials.
Step 4: Once logged in, your scorecard will appear on the screen.

In recent years, there has been a noticeable upward trajectory in the pass rates among female candidates. The pass percentage held steady at 24 percent in both 2018 and 2019 before seeing a slight uptick to 29 percent in 2020. However, there was a marginal dip of 3 percentage points to 26 percent in 2021. Nevertheless, in 2022, there was a remarkable resurgence, with the pass rate soaring to an impressive 34 percent. Notably, last year, over a third of the 933 candidates recommended for appointment were women, underscoring the growing participation and achievement of women in UPSC examinations.
There has been no official confirmation regarding the announcement of UPSC CSE 2023 Results but multiple media reports suggest that the results could be announced any moment this week. However, these are just reports.
As per the CSE notification released by UPSC, candidates must have reached the age of 21 years but not exceeded 32 years as of August 1, 2024. In other words, candidates should have been born between August 2, 1992, and August 1, 2003.
According to the Commission’s notification, in the previous year, the total recommended candidates for UPSC CSE comprised 345 from the general category, 99 from EWS, 263 from OBC, 154 from SC, and 72 from ST backgrounds.
For SC/ST candidates, unlimited attempts are permitted.
For OBC candidates, 9 attempts are allowed.
For PwBD candidates, 9 attempts are allowed for GL/EWS/OBC, while unlimited attempts are permitted for SC/ST.
For all other categories, 6 attempts are permitted.

4. Click on the submit button to proceed.
5. Your result will be shown on the screen.

In 2022, 23 candidates trained at the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) were selected in the UPSC Civil Services Exam.

This is interesting to note that the three toppers of UPSC Civil Services 2022 were girls. Ishita Kishore topped the exam, followed by Garima Lohia at second rank while Uma Harathin N was on third position.

In line with previous result patterns, UPSC usually announces the CSE Results within two to three days following the conclusion of the interviews. The final result PDF will list the names and roll numbers of the successful candidates.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) interview is assessed out of a total of 275 marks, and there are no minimum qualifying marks required.

UPSC operates a “Facilitation Counter” near the Examination Hall on its campus. The UPSC CSE 2024 prelims are scheduled for June 16. A total of 1,056 vacancies have been announced for CSE 2024, along with 150 vacancies for IFoS.

The Civil Services (Main) examination comprises of a written examination and a personality test. The written exam consists of 9 papers that have conventional essay-type questions in various subjects, out of which two papers are of qualifying nature. Marks obtained in the compulsory papers (paper 1 to paper 6) and the interview/personality test are considered for ranking and determining the final result.
