The UP Board will also announce the UP Board Class 10th Result 2025 and UP Board Class 12th Result 2025 via a press conference, just like previous years. However, the official date for the UP Board Exam Result 2025 has not been announced yet. Still, there is a strong possibility that the results will be released either today or by tomorrow.

To be declared as passed in the UP Board High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) exams, students must obtain at least 33% marks in each subject.

In 2024, the overall pass percentage stood at:

Class 10: 89.55%

Class 12: 82.60%

Over the last several years, female students have consistently outshone their male peers in the UP Board Class 10 examinations. The trend of better performance by girls has remained strong:

2024: Girls passed with 93.40%, while boys scored 86.05%, a difference of 7.35%

2023: Girls led with a pass percentage of 93.34%

2022: Girls scored 91.69%, compared to 85.25% for boys

2021: Pandemic-influenced results showed 99.55% for girls and 99.52% for boys

2020: 87.29% of girls passed, while boys recorded a slightly lower success rate

2019: Girls achieved 83.98%, outpacing boys at 76.66%

2018: Female candidates posted a 78.81% pass rate, versus 72.27% for boys

If students believe there is an error in their marks:

They can apply for scrutiny a few days post-result.

Fee: Approx. Rs 500 per subject

Scrutiny ensures no answers were missed or miscalculated.

Students who fail in one or more subjects can appear in Compartment/Improvement Exams, usually held in July.

Grace marks may be awarded if a student narrowly misses the pass mark (e.g., scoring 31–32 where 33 is required).

The online UP Board Result 2025 for Class 10 and 12 will be available in a provisional format. Students must collect their original marksheets and certificates from their respective schools after the official results are released by UPMSP.

To successfully pass the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject individually. Meeting this subject-wise requirement is essential to be declared as ‘pass’ by the board.

This year, over 54 lakh students registered for the UP Board exams — 26.98 lakh for Class 10 and 27.40 lakh for Class 12. Around 3 crore answer sheets were evaluated by approximately 1.47 lakh teachers, under strict protocols to ensure transparency and accuracy.

The wait is nearly over for lakhs of students who appeared for the UP Board Exams 2025. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is expected to announce the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) results by April 22, 2025, according to various media reports.
