The UGC NET June 2024 results indicate that a total of 11,21,225 candidates registered for the examination, with 6,84,224 appearing for it. Among those who took the test, 4,970 candidates qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while 53,694 qualified for the position of Assistant Professor only. Additionally, 1,12,070 candidates were qualified for a PhD program only.

a) For multi-shift papers, the raw marks obtained by candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted into an NTA Score (percentile).
b) The detailed procedure for the NTA Score, based on the Percentile Score, is available on the NTA website under the Normalization procedure.
c) If a subject test is conducted in multiple shifts, the NTA Score will be calculated based on the raw marks obtained by each candidate. These scores will be combined across all shifts/sessions for further processing and allocation.
d) If percentiles across multiple shifts differ, the lowest percentile will be set as the eligibility cut-off for that category, applicable to all candidates across all shifts.
– 15% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
– 7.5% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
– 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates, as per the Central List.
– 10% of seats are reserved for General-Economically Weaker Sections (General-EWS) candidates.
– 5% of seats within the above categories are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) having 40% or more disability.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC NET June examination from August 21st to the first week of September. The exam followed the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Once the result is out and the candidate has been declared successful then the NTA issues a certificate for all who have cleared the examination. The e-certificate signifies that the candidate has passed the examination and is eligible to receive a UGC NET JRF certificate or UGC NET certificate.
The candidate will be awarded 2 marks each for each correct answer, no negative marks will be given for a wrong answer and no marks will be granted for the question left unanswered, not attempted, or marked for review.
Candidates from the general category will have to score a minimum of 40% for qualifying for the UGC NET examination while students from the reserved category like,-SC, ST, PwD, and OBC will have to secure 35 %.
