Soft skills are all those interpersonal skills that go beyond the technical knowledge that MBA programmes teach. These skills include but are not limited to emotional intelligence, teamwork, adaptability, leadership, and effective communication. For MBA graduates hoping to succeed in their career paths, developing these soft skills is essential in a time when teamwork, diversity, and creativity are more valued than ever.
Soft skills are essential for good leadership . Although technical expertise gives MBA graduates the know-how to handle challenging business situations, effective leadership is characterised by the capacity to motivate and inspire others. In addition to making well-informed decisions, leadership entails inspiring teams, creating a positive work environment, and overcoming obstacles with resiliency. Emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication are two soft skills that are becoming essential for leaders to build cohesive, effective teams.
