This year, seven students scored 624 marks, whereas in the 2023 SSLC exam, 17 students attained the same score. The drop has been massive.
Due to the decreased pass rate, the board has heightened normalization by raising grade marks from 10% to 20%, leading to a pass rate of 73%. Additionally, the qualifying marks for the Karnataka SSLC exam have been decreased from 35% to 25%.
In the current year, only one student attained a score of 625 marks, contrasting with the previous year when four students reached the same milestone.
Government schools’s pass percentage accounted for 72.46 percent, aided ones scored 72.22 percent, while unaided schools achieved 86.46 percent. Overall, the combined percentage stood at 76.91.
In the Karnataka SSLC Result 2024 Live update, Udupi has secured the top spot, achieving a remarkable pass percentage of 94%. Conversely, Parvathipuram Manyam district witnessed 14,092 candidates appearing for the exam this year, with 13,246 successfully passing. This marks a significant improvement compared to the district’s 14th rank in the 2023 SSLC exam.
In the Class 10 final exam administered by the KSEAB, a total of 493,900 students from urban areas participated, with 359,703 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 72.83%. In rural areas, 366,067 students sat for the exam, out of which 271,501, or 74.17%, have successfully cleared it.
The assessment of answer scripts took place from April 15 to 24, involving a total of 61,160 evaluators across 237 evaluation centers spread across 35 educational districts of the state. A total of 859,967 students participated in this examination.
The overall pass percentage of girl students stood at 81.11 per cent, which is considerably higher than boys’ who recorded a pass percentage of 65.90 per cent.

Due to the decrease in pass rates, the state government has opted to lower the minimum passing threshold, reducing it from the current 35% to 25%. Additionally, grace marks have been raised from 10% to 20% across all subjects for the 2024 SSLC exams as a one-time measure. Following normalization, the pass rate stands at 73.40%.
Today, Consolidated School Result sheets and Provisional Marks cards will be available after 1 pm via the school login on the KSEAB website – kseab.karnataka.gov.in.
The year’s pass percentage stands at 73.40%, marking a decline from the previous year’s 83.89% and the year 2022’s 85.13%. Additionally, it reflects a decline from the pre-pandemic era of 2019, which boasted a pass rate of 73.70%.

In the previous year, Karnataka witnessed 425,968 boys taking the SSLC exam, with 341,108 of them passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 80.08%. Conversely, girls achieved a pass percentage of 87.87%, with 409,134 appearing for the exam and 359,511 passing.
