The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will announce the Class 12 or 2nd PUC results today for all three streams — Science, Commerce, and Arts. The official declaration is set to take place during a press conference scheduled for 12:30 PM.

This year, over 7.1 lakh students appeared for the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 1. Of these, around 2.9 lakh were from the Science stream, 2.2 lakh from Commerce, and 1.9 lakh students from the Humanities (Arts) stream.

The Karnataka PUC 2 marks memo will feature key details such as the student’s name, date of birth, roll number, stream (Arts, Science, or Commerce), subject-wise marks, total marks obtained, passing status, and the overall subject-wise total.

In 2023, the Karnataka 2nd PUC Class 12 results were announced on April 2. The pass percentage stood at 61.22% in the arts stream, 75.89% in commerce, and 85.71% in the science stream.

Under Karnataka’s revised PUC system, Exam 1 is compulsory, while Exam 2 and Exam 3 are optional attempts for students aiming to improve their scores. There is no restriction on the number of subjects students can reappear for in Exam 2 or 3 — they can retake any or all of the subjects they attempted in Exam 1.

Students will be graded based on the marks secured in the examination. Those scoring between 92 and 100 marks will be awarded the highest grade of 10. Similarly, students scoring 67 to 74 will receive grade 7, 59 to 66 will get grade 6, and 51 to 58 will be awarded grade 5. Ganavi M of Vidyanidhi PU College, Tumkur clinched the top spot in the Commerce stream in the 2024 Karnataka 2nd PUC exams, scoring an impressive 597 out of 600. Sharing the second rank with just one mark less were Pawan MS from Kumudwati PU College, Shimoga, and Harshit SH from Puranaprajna PU College, Udupi, both securing 596 marks.

Vidyalakshmi from Dharwad’s Vidyaniketan SEPU College topped the state in the science stream last year by scoring 598 marks. Close behind, KH Urveesh Prashant of Adichuchangiri PU College in Mysuru secured the second rank with 597 marks.
