The Indian Air Force (IAF) has some exciting news for those interested in joining! They’re looking for new recruits through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2024. If you’re interested, you can start applying from December 1 to December 30, 2023.
Now, here’s the scoop on the job positions. The IAF wants to hire people for three types of jobs: Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical). There are a total of 317 positions up for grabs.
If you get selected, you’ll be paid a salary ranging from Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500. Plus, you might get some extra allowances depending on where you work and what your duties are.

The age criteria for Interested candidates in the flying branch, is between 20 to 24 years old by January 1, 2024. But if you have a commercial pilot license from DGCA (India), you can be up to 26 years old. For the ground duty branches (Technical and Non-technical), the age limit is 20 to 26 years by January 1, 2024.
There are also some educational requirements. If you’re applying for the flying branch, you should have passed 12th grade with 50% in Maths and Physics. If you have a graduate degree from a recognized university with at least 60%, that works too. There are similar criteria for the ground duty branches, but with a focus on engineering and technology qualifications.
