CUET UG Result 2024 Highlights: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the final answer key for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 on July 25. Candidates who took the exam between May 15 and 29, and on July 19, can now check and download the answer key from the official websites, nta.ac.in and exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.

This year, over 15 lakh candidates appeared for the CUET UG 2024 exam. The examination was conducted in hybrid mode, both as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and in pen-and-paper format. The test dates spanned May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, and 24, and covered 379 cities, including 26 cities outside India, accommodating around 13.48 lakh candidates. Additionally, approximately 1.58 lakh candidates took seven test papers on May 29, and nearly 1,000 students participated in the retest on July 19.

The NTA has released a notice stating, “Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts. If any candidate’s challenge is found to be correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied to all candidates’ responses accordingly. The result will be prepared and declared based on the revised Final Answer Key. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance or non-acceptance of their challenge.”
In an earlier notice, the NTA stated that it would conduct a retest for CUET UG candidates from July 15 to 19 if any grievances raised about the conduct of the exam were found to be valid.

With the CUET UG 2024 results still pending, Delhi University’s academic council members, Mithuraaj Dhusiya and Monami Basu, have urged the Vice Chancellor to reconsider the CUET-based admission process, reported The Indian Express. In their note to V-C Yogesh Singh, they argued that relying on CUET causes uncertainty in admission schedules and academic calendars, and proposed opting out of the entrance test from the next academic year.

From May 15 to May 29, the NTA administered the CUET-UG 2024 exams in a hybrid style, combining computer-based testing (CBT) and pen-and-paper mode at 379 examination venues.
The delay in revealing the CUET UG results is expected to have an influence on admissions and academic timetables, prompting several colleges to plan shorter breaks and hold weekend classes to make up for lost time.
After the CUET results are released, candidates can apply for admission to their desired universities according on the cut-off marks. Once the test results are revealed, universities will issue cut-offs for certain courses.

While CBT exam keys are accessible in 151 pages, final answer keys for OMR-based exams are available in a 219 page PDF file. Exam date, subject, and medium are displayed together with the answer keys.
On May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24 and 29 at various test centres located in 379 locations, including 26 cities outside of India, the National Testing Agency administered the CUET UG 2024 exam in hybrid mode (CBT and Pen & Paper) for approximately 13.48 lakh students.
This year, 59 questions have been excluded from the online exams, while 404 questions have been removed from the final answer key for the offline exams.
The CUET UG exam covered 61 subjects in total, including 33 languages, 27 domain-specific subjects, and a general test.
Each correct answer is awarded five marks, while one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer, and unanswered questions receive zero marks.
