CBSE Class 10 results are likely to be announced between May 7 and May 12. With more than 24 lakh students appearing for the exams and the pass percentage could surpass last year’s 93.60%. Students can access their results on cbse.gov.in and DigiLocker.

In 2024, girls outperformed boys in CBSE Class 12 results with a pass rate of 91.52%, compared to 85.12% for boys. This year, approximately 17.88 lakh students appeared for the exams. Results are expected to be announced between May 7 and May 12 on cbse.gov.in and other official portals.

CBSE will soon open the window for revaluation and rechecking applications following the declaration of results. Students seeking verification of marks will need to pay Rs 500 per subject, while re-evaluation will cost Rs 100 per question. Those requesting answer sheet photocopies can expect fees ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 700. The application window is expected to be open during May–June 2025, so students are advised to act promptly once the dates are announced.

In 2024, 22.51 lakh students registered for the CBSE Class 10 exams. That number jumped to 24.12 lakh in 2025. Most of these students appeared for the exam at one of the 7,780 designated centres across the country.

With pass rates of 87.33% in 2023 and 87.98% in 2024, the CBSE Class 12 results for 2025 are expected to stay on a similar trajectory. Given that this year’s papers were largely rated as easy to moderate in difficulty, the overall pass percentage may see a slight uptick.

CBSE will continue the practice of discouraging unhealthy academic competition by not releasing a topper list this year as well. Moreover, the board will not disclose overall percentages; students will need to calculate them on their own. The online results will display only subject-wise marks and corresponding grades.

CBSE will grant grace marks to those students who fall short of 1-2 marks to make the passing cut. The minimum passing marks are 33%. The grace marks policy allows borderline students can pass.

CBSE had made special provisions for students appearing for the Class 10-12 Board Exam 2025 to appear for exam on alternate dates. This was only for those students who were going to sit for international/national level olympiads or sports events.

To improve transparency and fairness in the post-result process, the CBSE has revised the sequence of activities. New sequence of application for students seeking grievance redressal first involves obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book, then Verification of marks or Re-evaluation or both.

No. There will be no topper list published by the CBSE for 2025. This move has been taken to discourage unhealthy competition. As CBSE does not declare percentages either, students must calculate it themselves.

While there has been no confirmation from CBSE about the official date of the CBSE Class 10-12 results 2025, they did deny rumours about its release on May 2. Educationists now speculate and predict that it arrive in the second week of May. “A candidate after obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book in the first step can decide whether to opt for Verification of marks which entails posting/totaling of marks or any unevaluated questions or Re-evaluation whereby the candidate requests for re-evaluation of a question or questions thereof. A candidate can apply for either Verification of marks or Re-evaluation or both as per due procedure after obtaining-photocopy of answer book” said the CBSE notification.

Over 24 lakh candidates registered for CBSE Class 10 board exams across 7,700 centres in India.

Combined, more than 42 lakh students took the CBSE Examination 2025 between February 15 and April 4. The official date for the CBSE Board Exam Result 2025 has not been announced.
