The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and TeamLease EdTech are unveiling a strategic platform on 16th January, 2024. The platform’s primary objective is to provide graduating students with internship opportunities that complement their formal education, fostering real-world training experiences, according to an official release.
Focused on elevating the employability of students in their final year of graduation, this initiative seeks to narrow the gap between educational curricula and industry demands. The platform aims to prepare students for the professional realm, ensuring a smooth transition from academia to the workforce, the release mentioned.
“This project and platform is more than just On-Job-Training Programmes; it’s a gateway for students to transition smoothly from academia to industry. Our collaboration with APSCHE is a testament to our commitment to enhance employability and equip the youth of Andhra Pradesh with the skills and experience necessary for the evolving job market,” Shantanu Rooj, founder, CEO, TeamLease EdTech, said.
In a commitment to empower the youth, APSCHE and TeamLease EdTech aim to offer 50,000 internships within the state. Final-year students across Andhra Pradesh will have access to lucrative paid internship programmes, providing both financial incentives and professional exposure. This project signifies a significant departure from traditional internships, transforming them into career launchpads that offer students long-term prospects and a foundation for their professional journeys, as per the release.
“Through this platform, we are ensuring that students are not only academically qualified but also industry-ready. This aligns perfectly with our goal of making Andhra Pradesh a hub of skilled and employable graduates, ready to contribute effectively to the workforce,’’Hemachandra Reddy, chairman, APSCHE, said.
