Sustain Labs Paris – the world’s largest sustainability and climate-focused venture builder – is starting the six-month Leader for Climate Action certificate programme in hybrid mode.
It comprises of three modules:
Springboard: 10-day self-paced learning to be done over six months.
Immersion: In-person classes by global experts on climate science, purpose-driven leadership, and personal growth. It will be held on October 10-11 in Dubai – a day prior to the start of the GITEX Impact climate-tech & ESG event (participants will also get access to the GITEX Impact).
Reflection: Following the Immersion, participants will enter a 10-day period of reflection, mentoring and assignment-based engagement. This phase is designed to encourage introspection and translate insights into actionable plans.
The programme costs AED 920 (about Rs 22,000, or $250), but participants have to cover their travel, accommodation, and visa for the in-person schedule in Dubai, UAE.
Miniya Chatterjee, the CEO of Sustain Labs Paris, told FE that to effectively combat climate change, we must move beyond theoretical discussions and put climate action into practice. “This programme specifically targets change-makers who have the power to drive transformative impact across industries and regions,” she said. “It is for sustainability decision-makers seeking to deepen their knowledge on relevant aspects of climate science, as well as gain unique skills in working through their organisations as well as the ecosystem for climate action.”
She added that the participants can expect to learn the following:
Nature: Deep knowledge about our nature and our changing climate, nature accounting, biodiversity mapping, carbon accounting, e-certificates, carbon project development, carbon trading, internal carbon pricing, and measuring your organisation’s sustainability performance.
Purpose-driven leadership: Be a systems thinker and navigating through the ambiguity around climate action within and outside your organisation, to achieve your climate goals.
Personal growth: Identify what drives you? Impact? Change? Finances? Then channel your personal driver into your leadership approach for impact.
