Placement season at the IIM Ahmedabad, among the country’s premier management schools, kicked off with corporates queing up for their annual talent hunt.

A total of 38 firms participated in the first cluster of placements held on February over the weekend. Accenture Strategy, with 25 offers, emerged as the highest recruiter among all six cohorts of firms while a newbie, Elevation Capital, an early stage venture capital firm, coming out as the recruiter paying the highest package to its recruits.

Accotding to a release issued by the school, the six cohorts for this round of placement included investment banking and markets, management consulting, niche consulting, advisory consulting, cards and financial advisory, private equity, venture capital, and asset management.

Prominent recruiters include Oliver Wyman, BCG, McKinsey, Kearney, Strategy& Middle East, Goldman Sachs, Avendus Capital, Arpwood Capital, Barclays, Premji Invest, Elevation Capital, Arga Investment, and American Express.

The Final Placement process for the PGP class of 2024 is being held in three clusters. The second and third clusters are scheduled to be held over the coming two weekends respectively.

The entire placement process is being conducted in hybrid mode where the companies have the convenience of conducting the process virtually or physically.
