Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Poll Result 2024: Ahead of the Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 tomorrow, several exit polls have predicted a clean sweep for the BJP-led NDA. Most of the exit polls have predicted the BJP winning more than 350+ seats with some even forecasting a ‘400 ke paar’ scenario for the saffron party. In Uttar Pradesh, multiple exit polls have shown that the BJP will improve its 2019 tally. In the last General Election, the BJP had won 63 seats in Uttar Pradesh. This time around, however, situation remains difficult for the ruling party on as many as 10-17 parliamentary constituencies.

An Indian Express report said that despite the Ram Mandir event, the BJP will face tough fight in Ayodhya. The report said that locals were not happy with two-time Faizabad MP Lallu Singh over a massive demolition drive in the area. The report added that several shops and homes were demolished as part of the anti-encroachment drive under the beautification project. In comparison to Singh, Samajwadi Party’s Awadhesh Prasad is popular among locals for ‘being accessible,’ the report added. Ayodhya had voted in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls.

Ghazipur and Ghosi are other prominent seats where the BJP may suffer a loss, the exit polls say. In Ghazipur, incumbent lawmaker Afzal Ansari is contesting. The death of his brother – gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari – will prove to be a key factor. In Ghosi, SP’s Rajiv Rai is contesting against Arvind, who is son of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar.
