Three jawans and one militant was killed on Monday in an infiltration bid, in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces gunned down a militant during an encounter earlier in the day in the state, said a senior police officer.
In another incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire at a franchise store of state-run telecom service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), in Sopore town of the state, killing one person and injuring two others.
