A video that went viral on various social media platforms on Saturday morning showed a little girl being beaten by her mother for failing to learn her math lesson properly. The video was shared aggressively on WhatsApp by people drawing the attention of many, including Indian cricketers like captain Virat Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan. A couple of days later it was revealed that this girl was the niece of famous singer Toshi Sabri who has now hit back at the Indian skipper. While speaking to Hindustan Times, Toshi said the video was made for their family WhatsApp group and Virat Kohli or Shikhar Dhawan have no right to judge his family.
“Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan don’t know about us. Hamare bachche ke bare mein humein pata hai naah ki hamara bacha kaisa hai! Uska nature hai waisa… Agle hi pal woh khelne chali jaati hai. Agar aap usko chod do toh woh kahengi main mazzak kar rahi thi. Uske nature ki wajah se chod denge toh woh padai bhi nahi kar paayengi. (We know about our child better. Haya’s nature is such that after being scolded, the next minute she runs off to play. But, because of her nature if we don’t push her, she won’t study,” he was quoted saying.

Toshi added that the only reason this video was shot is that the woman wanted to show her brother and husband how stubborn the girl has become. “All the crying was for that moment so that her mother doesn’t make her study and let her play. In every house there are different kind of children. Ours is a very stubborn child but is extremely dear to us,” he added.
He further added that no one can judge the mother after watching a 1.5-minute video. He said when others are feeling bad on seeing the video, then being a mother, of course, she’s upset too. The singer said that he is a father himself and knows how difficult it can get at times to manage children.
