Traffic in central Delhi will be disrupted on Tuesday (October 29) due to a marathon commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, according to an official advisory. The ‘Run for Unity’, part of the Rashtriya Ekta Divas celebrations, will see approximately 7,700 participants gathering at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

The marathon will commence at 7:40 AM from gate number 1 of the stadium, with participants arriving by bus and car. Consequently, traffic restrictions will be in place around India Gate and C-Hexagon from 6:45 AM until the event concludes.

The route includes gate number 1 of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, C-Hexagon, Shahjahan Road, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Statue.

To manage the anticipated congestion, traffic will be diverted from several key intersections, including:

– Tilak Marg-Bhagwan Dass Road crossing

– Purana Quila Road-Mathura Road crossing

– Shershah Road-Mathura Road crossing

– Dr Zakir Hussain Marg-Subramanian Bharti Marg crossing

– Q-Point

– Roundabout Mansingh Road

– Roundabout Jaswant Singh Road

– KG Marg-Firozshah Road crossing

– Roundabout Mandi House
