Delhi New CM Rekha Gupta Oath-taking Ceremony Highlights: BJP debutant MLA Rekha Gupta was sworn in as Delhi’s Chief Minister on Thursday, marking the party’s return to power in the capital after more than 26 years.

Rekha Gupta Oath Taking Ceremony Live: Women in Delhi to get Rs 2,500 financial aid by March 8

Delhi Chief Minister-designate Rekha Gupta on Thursday reaffirmed the BJP government’s commitment to fulfilling its poll promise of providing Rs 2,500 in monthly financial assistance to women.

Gupta announced that the first installment of this support would be credited to beneficiaries’ accounts by March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day, PTI reported.

Gupta, who was officially elected as the BJP legislature party leader on Wednesday, emphasised that delivering on promises remains her top priority.

“Fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is the responsibility of all 48 BJP MLAs in Delhi. We are fully committed to delivering on every promise, including financial support for women. The assistance will definitely reach their accounts by March 8,” she assured.

The BJP secured a landslide victory in the February 5 Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70 seats, ending the decade-long rule of Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the national capital.
