Nawaz Modi, estranged wife of Raymond Group Managing Director Gautam Singhania, levelled fresh allegations against him. Multiple media reports say that Modi has accused Singhania of domestic violence. In an interview, Modi claimed that she and their minor daughter was physically assaulted by her billionaire husband.

The said incident took place on September 10, Modi said. According to her, Singhania ‘kicked and punched’ both Modi and their daughter for 15 minutes after an argument over using a bathroom escalated. Nawaz Modi claimed that she left with their daughter in an another room fearing that Singhania may just return with a weapon.

A top fitness coach, Modi has said that this was one of the three incidents where Singhania attacked her. Meanwhile, the billionaire’s response regarding the allegations reads – ‘In the interest of my two beautiful daughters, I would like to maintain my family’s dignity and I will refrain from offering any comment. Please respect my privacy.”. Modi has claimed that ‘control issue’ is the main trigger behind the physical assaults.

On November 13, billionaire Gautam Singhania publicly declared his separation from his wife, revealing that they have mutually chosen divergent paths. The 58-year-old businessman had tied the knot with Nawaz Modi, the daughter of solicitor Nadar Modi, in the year 1999.
