The Assembly election in Rajasthan is likely to see a tight contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, according to a recent survey.

The grand-old party, Congress, has 100 seats in the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly with Ashok Gehlot being the current chief minister of the state.

The Times Now Navbharat ETG Opinion Poll for Rajasthan has predicted that both parties are poised for a neck-and-neck battle, with the opinion poll projecting each party to secure over 42 per cent of the vote share.

According to the opinion poll, the BJP is expected to secure 95-105 seats, while the Congress is projected to secure 91-101 seats. Other parties are expected to win 3-6 seats with a 15 per cent vote share.

On the contrary, IANS-Polstrat Opinion Poll 2023 had predicted a clear win for Congress and stated that the grand-old party is likely to retain power in the state.

Both the main political parties in the fray are making significant efforts to sweep the Assembly polls in the desert state and the stage is set for a mega political showdown.
