Gwalior constituency Election Result 2023: The vote-counting process for the Gwalior Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh has come to an end with the Bharatiya Janata Paryt (BJP) candidate Pradhuman Singh Tomar winning by a margin of over 19,000 votes. The Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, conducted on November 17, witnessed a direct battle between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the grand-old Congress party which was aiming to wrestle back the power for the 230 constituency seats.
Pradhuman Singh Tomar won by securing 1,04,775 votes, with a margin of over 19,000 votes. Congress candidate Sunil Sharma got defeated. He secured just 85,635 votes.
Gwalior falls in the Gwalior district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in MP. Classified as an urban seat, the Gwalior Assembly seat witnessed a high-octane battle between BJP’s bigwig and MP’s Minister of Energy Pradhuman Singh Timar and Congress’ Sunil Sharma.

Jyotiraditya Scindia loyalist Pradhuman Singh Tomar has once again won the seat. He won the 2018 election on a Congress ticket and after jumping ship with Scindia over to the BJP, won the seat again in a bypoll on a BJP ticket, by over 33,000 votes. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Gwalior recorded a voter turnout of 62.57 per cent. In 2013, the turnout was 61.18 per cent, and in 2008 it was 57.17 per cent.

BJP’s Pradhuman Singh Tomar won from the Gwalior Assembly constituency by clinching 1,04,775 votes. Congress candidate Sunil Sharma lost by a margin of 19,140 votes.
