It is difficult to say if Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is an IIT graduate also, never thinks before speaking or all his words are premeditated. But he manages to rake up controversies regularly with his aggressive jibes. Recently, Parrikar was at the centre of a controversy after suggesting that people like Bollywood actor Aamir Khan “need to be taught a lesson” for making anti-India remarks. However, he later clarified that his comment was not directed against any individual.

On Tuesday, he invited Twitterati’s reaction after saying that going to Pakistan is like going to hell. While talking about terrorist attack at Nawhatta in Jammu and Kashmir on the 70th Independence Day yesterday, Parrikar was quoted as saying by ANI today: “Pakistan has encouraged terrorism, and now they are facing consequences of that policy. Our soldiers sent back 5 terrorists yesterday. Going to Pakistan is same as going to hell.” A number of people took to Twitter to comment on Parrikar, with some even wondering if Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already been to the “hell” by visiting Pakistan.

Here are some of the Tweets.

However, some people also tweeted in support of Parrikar.
