Karakat Constituency Election Result Bihar: The Karakat Assembly constituency is a part of the ongoing 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, a key contest in the Rohtas district of Bihar. The general category seat has historically been a stronghold for various socialist and left-wing parties and has a significant population of Scheduled Caste voters.
As per the latest update on the Election Commission of India (ECI) website 23 rounds of counting have been completed. Communist Party of India backed candidate Arun Singh presently takes lead with 57843 votes, whereas Janata Dal candidate Mahabali Singh follows behind with 56628 votes. Meanwhile, Jyoti Singh, the estranged wife of Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh ranks third on the leader board with 18578 votes.
In previous elections for the Karakat Assembly constituency, winners have represented various parties, including the CPI(ML)(L), RJD, and JD(U). The seat has often seen a fluctuating political landscape.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, or CPI(ML)(L), has won this seat the most number of times in its history. This historical statement is also backed by current trends at the moment.
Karakat is also a Lok Sabha (Parliamentary) constituency. The current Member of Parliament (MP) for the Karakat Lok Sabha seat is Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha of the CPI(ML)(L), who won the seat in the 2024 general election.
