At least seven people were killed and nine were left injured after a stampede took place at Baba Siddhanath Temple in Makhdumpur, Jehanabad district of Bihar, early on Monday morning. The incident has deeply affected the community and prompted immediate action from local authorities.

Jehanabad District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey confirmed the casualties and injuries, stating that the situation is now under control and being closely monitored. 

Divakar Kumar Vishwakarma, Station House Officer of Jehanabad, reported that the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have visited the site to assess the situation. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and inform their families. The bodies will be sent for post-mortem examination after identification is complete.

Vikas Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer of Jehanabad, expressed condolences and noted that while safety arrangements were made, a thorough review of the incident is being conducted.
