Sahu secured 107,191 votes, defeating Kumar by a margin of 42,871 votes, solidifying her victory in this intense contest. Jamshedpur East, a General category seat in East Singhbhum district, is part of the Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency. According to the 2011 Census, Scheduled Caste voters make up 15.6% (47,503), Scheduled Tribe voters are 0.61% (1,857), and Muslim voters comprise 6.3% (19,184). The constituency is entirely urban, with no rural voters recorded.

Jamshedpur East 2024 Election: Tracking Live Results and Vote Counts
The seat, once a BJP stronghold, was held by Raghubar Das from 1995 to 2014. In 2019, he was defeated by Independent candidate Saryu Roy, who garnered 73,945 votes (42.59%).
