Two terrorists were neutralized by the Indian Army’s Rising Star Corps during an ongoing operation in Khandara Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, officials said on Thursday. The operation is still underway as security forces maintain high alert in the region, particularly ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
Amid increasing terrorist activity this year, security forces have intensified their operations across J&K. In a separate development, the Army and J&K Police recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition in Kupwara’s Keran area. These arms, which included AK-47 rounds, RPGs, and explosives, were believed to be intended for use by terrorists.
The recovery followed a joint search operation based on specific intelligence inputs, demonstrating the ongoing efforts to curb terrorist activities and ensure security in the region. Authorities remain vigilant as security operations continue across Jammu & Kashmir.
