Due to worsening health, he was later transferred to the Government Medical College Hospital in Salem, where he passed away.
Sivaraman was one of 11 people, including school officials, arrested by the Bargur All Women Police in connection with the incident. He had allegedly organized the fake NCC camp, where an eighth-grade girl was sexually assaulted and several others were reportedly abused. Around 41 students, including 17 girls, had attended the camp. The assault came to light when the girl confided in her parents, who then lodged a police complaint.
