BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad praised the people of Bihar for voting beyond caste and community lines. He said the result shows their hope and trust in the current leadership. He noted that voters have seen Nitish Kumar’s work and still remember the difficult period under Lalu Prasad. He added that he feels proud to see Bihar choosing the path of development.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the NDA’s performance in Bihar is historic, as people have strongly backed the alliance. He said voters have recognised the development carried out by the double-engine government under PM Modi and Nitish Kumar over the past decade. He thanked the people of Bihar for giving the NDA a clear and convincing victory.

Gujarat minister Rivaba Jadeja congratulated the people of Bihar, saying the NDA’s strong victory shows how much trust voters have placed in PM Narendra Modi. She said the state will now move further towards development and will benefit from many welfare schemes in the coming years.

CPI leader D Raja said that during the campaign, they saw strong support for Tejashwi Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan. However, he noted that the early counting trends are showing a different picture. He said it is better to wait for the final results, after which they will review and understand why the outcome turned out this way.

LJP-Ram Vilas MP Shambhavi Chaudhary said the NDA’s clear majority shows that Nitish Kumar is set to become Chief Minister once again. She added that he will take oath in a big ceremony and the alliance will work to fulfil all the promises made to the people during the campaign.

BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav said the people of Bihar have handed the NDA a huge victory, showing their faith in the work done by PM Modi and Nitish Kumar. He added that Nitish Kumar remains the Chief Minister and that won’t change. He also criticised the opposition for making what he called irresponsible remarks.

UP Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh said Bihar’s voters chose a vision of a developed and secure state. He added that people trust PM Modi to keep the country safe and Nitish Kumar to maintain stability in the state. He accused the opposition of focusing only on expanding their vote bank, even by encouraging illegal immigration, while the BJP aims to curb infiltration. On Akhilesh Yadav’s tweet, he said the SP leader’s reaction only reflects frustration after the setback.

Responding to Akhilesh Yadav’s tweet, UP Minister Nitin Agrawal said the SP chief had spent days claiming Tejashwi Yadav would become Chief Minister, but is now shifting blame elsewhere. He added that by the end of the day, Akhilesh might even accuse the Election Commission and EVMs for the results.

As the NDA crossed the majority mark in Bihar, MoS Home Nityanand Rai thanked the people for giving the alliance a strong mandate. He said voters have shown confidence in PM Modi and NDA leaders. According to him, the public has sent a clear message that they do not want a return to lawlessness and instead want steady development for the state.

The RJD had promised a job for every one of the state’s 2.5 crore families, 200 MW of free electricity, and Rs 2,500 per month for women under the Mai Bahin Maan Yojana. But these offers did not seem to impress voters when compared to the welfare work already done by the Nitish government.

Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s focus on jobs did attract many young people during campaigning, but his support base remained limited. In the end, voters looked at social equations and leadership. Tejashwi was unable to move beyond his image as a leader mainly for the Muslim-Yadav community, while Nitish Kumar’s long-standing mix of social balance and development continued to work strongly in his favour.

Compared to the 2020 election, the NDA has made strong gains. The BJP has increased its seats from 74 to 89, while the JDU has seen one of its biggest jumps, rising from 43 to 79 seats, an increase of 34. The Mahagathbandhan is far behind this time. The RJD has fallen from 75 to 32 seats, and Congress has dropped from 19 to just 4. Other parties together have won 39 seats.

Reacting to Akhilesh Yadav’s tweet, Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari says the Bihar results show a clear message that could repeat in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and other states. He says the Opposition should learn to respect what people decide and accept that the Samajwadi Party has been rejected by voters. According to him, acknowledging this truth would have helped Opposition parties maintain some credibility with the public. He adds that the NDA’s win is a result of the work done by PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, and he expresses gratitude to the people for their support.

On Akhilesh Yadav’s tweet, UP Minister Arun Saxena says, “Bihar is just a beginning. We will be in a better situation in Uttar Pradesh than we are right now.”

As the NDA crosses the majority mark in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari says the results show that people have accepted the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He adds that this support has come from all communities, including Muslims, who he says chose development over caste and religious politics. He thanks voters for trusting the NDA and says the government will focus on taking Bihar to new levels of progress.

Responding to the Opposition, he says they knew they lacked public support, which was visible in their low-energy rallies. He also claims that even in Muslim-majority areas, many votes went to BJP, JDU, and LJP (RV), showing that people want better education, jobs, and growth rather than old political narratives.

According to the Election Commission of India’s official website – eci.gov.in – BJP’s Subhash Singh is currently leading in Gopalganj with 61454 votes and INC’s Om Prakash Garg is trailing with 40599 votes.

UP Minister Narendra Kashyap said the NDA’s strong lead shows that people trust Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for reducing hunger, poverty, and crime in Bihar. He called it a historic win for the alliance. He also added that the opposition’s promises did not convince voters, saying people did not believe claims like offering jobs to every household, especially when they feared conditions such as giving up land in return.

JD(U)’s Ashwamedh Devi is leading in Samastipur with 15546 votes against RJD’s Akhtarul Islam Shahin, according to the Election Commission of India.

As per the data provided on the Election Commission of India’s website, BJP Anand Mishra is leading from Buxar against INC’s Sanjay Kumar Tiwari with a margin of 15167 votes.

According to the Election Commission of India, LJP’s Sangita Devi is leading from Balrampur with a margin of 22839 votes against CPI (ML)(L)’s Mahboob Alam.

Early counting in Bihar shows a clear edge for the NDA, with JD(U) and BJP competing to become the largest party. Together, they are ahead in more than 165 seats. In contrast, Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD, the biggest party in 2020, has slipped sharply and is leading in fewer than 40 seats. Congress is also struggling, with only a handful of leads. These numbers may shift slightly as counting enters the final rounds, but the opposition alliance faces a steep uphill climb.

BJP leader Yogendra Sharma says the counting process is moving as expected. He adds that the party worked hard to connect with voters in every area, and the early support shows that people recognise PM Modi’s development work and Nitish Kumar’s governance in the state.

Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC says the NDA’s strong lead in Bihar is historic, with the alliance set to win more than 190 out of 243 seats. She highlights two key points, the high voter turnout of over 61% and the large number of women who came out to vote. She says the people have clearly rejected the return of lawlessness and adds that the Election Commission deserves praise for smoothly conducting such a massive election.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah says the NDA crossing the majority mark in Bihar is the people’s decision, and it must be accepted. He also speaks about former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, saying Nehru made major sacrifices and laid the foundation for India’s development through the Five-Year Plans. He credits Nehru for growth in dams and agriculture, and adds that the BJP did not play a role in the freedom struggle, while leaders like Nehru helped shape the nation
