Election Commission of India results.eci.gov.in, Bihar Election Results 2025 | ECI Results 2025 Highlights: The NDA secured a decisive victory in the Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, winning 202 of the 243 seats as the Election Commission announced results for all constituencies.

The BJP emerged as the largest party with 89 seats, while its ally, the JD(U) led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, won 85 seats. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan captured 19 seats. Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), led by former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, took five seats, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha under Upendra Kushwaha won four.

Key NDA winners included Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, ministers Prem Kumar, Maheshwar Hazari, Sanjay Saraogi, and BJP’s Maithili Thakur.

Who won from the Opposition?

From the Opposition, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Osama Shah (son of the late Mohammad Shahabuddin), and CPI(ML) Liberation’s Sandeep Saurav were notable winners. Yadav retained the Raghopur seat with a 14,532-vote lead over BJP’s Satish Kumar.

The INDIA bloc managed only 34 seats: RJD 25, Congress six, CPI(ML) Liberation two, and CPI(M) one. AIMIM, led by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, won five seats, while the BSP and Indian Inclusive Party secured one each.

Jan Suraaj says fear of ‘Jungle Raj’ pushed its voters toward NDA

A day after drawing a blank in the Bihar Assembly elections, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party claimed on Saturday that a section of its supporters shifted their votes to the BJP-led NDA “out of fear that the RJD would bring back jungle raj”.

At a press conference in Patna, party president Uday Singh said that many voters acted out of apprehension, choosing the NDA to prevent an RJD comeback.

Kerala Congress on Saturday alleged large-scale rigging in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. The party claimed that the outcome in 128 constituencies was influenced by what it describes as arbitrary voter deletions.

The party has posted its findings on social media platform X, Kerala Congress wrote, “Bihar Rigging| 128 seats out of the 2022 won by the NDA came purely from SIR-based voter deletions. We examined the voter deletion data published by the ECI as ordered by the Supreme Court and compared the victory margins in each constituency. The pattern is unmistakable: genuine, living voters were removed arbitrarily under SIR.”

ECI Results 2025 LIVE |Three Bihar seats decided by under 100 votes

Three Assembly constituencies in Bihar have delivered nail-biting performances, with winning margins falling below 100 votes.

Another three seats also witnessed results decided by fewer than 250 votes, underlining some of the closest contests of the election, as per a report by PTI.

In Sandesh (Bhojpur), JD (U) candidate Radha Charan Shah won by RJD’s Dipu Singh by only 27 votes in the state’s tightest competition.

At Agiaon in Arrah, CPI (ML) Liberation’s Shiv Prakash Ranjan narrowly missed victory and lost to BJP’s Mahesh Paswan by 95 votes.

The Ramgarh constituency also recorded another extremely close battle, where BSP’s Satish Kumar Singh Yadav registered a win by defeating BJP candidate Ashok Kumar Singh with a mere margin of only 30 votes.
