Four people were injured in a head-on collision between a BMW and a Creta on Simon Bolivar Marg in Chanakyapuri on Friday, according to police.

The incident took place in the afternoon, with the driver of the Creta, identified as Ankit, 21, and owner Chand Kubba, 31, traveling from Dhaula Kuan to Karol Bagh, PTI reported.

Local police arrived at the scene after receiving a report of the accident. Ankit was driving the Creta, while Kubba, a resident of Gurugram, was the passenger.

The BMW was driven by Vaasu Garg, 18, with Ram Naresh, 58, also in the vehicle, both sustaining minor injuries. All four occupants were taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment.

A crime team examined the scene, and the victims’ statements were recorded, authorities said.

Based on Ankit’s statement, a case has been registered under sections 281 (rash driving) and 125A (endangering life or personal safety) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation is ongoing.
