Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is expected to participate in the inauguration of the Delhi unit’s month-long ‘Delhi Nyay Yatra’ on Friday, according to party officials.

The yatra, set to begin on November 8, will see the participation of several senior leaders from the party. Senior leaders from other states are also expected to join, with plans being made to coordinate their visits, a senior Delhi Congress leader confirmed.

On the first day, the yatra is likely to be joined by advocates, with doctors participating on the second day, another party official mentioned.

Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav recently held a meeting with party workers, former MPs, MLAs, municipal councillors, district and block committee presidents, social media volunteers, and office-bearers to discuss the yatra’s schedule. Yadav added that senior party leaders, including Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and K.C. Venugopal, have been invited to participate.

The yatra will commence from Rajghat on November 8 and pass through all 70 Vidhan Sabha constituencies, concluding on December 4.

“Around 250-300 Congress workers will engage directly with the public, listen to their grievances, and bring these issues to the forefront,” a senior leader said. “We will also consider their suggestions.”

The yatra will be conducted on foot, covering 20-25 kilometers each day. It will begin at 8 AM daily, with scheduled breaks for lunch and tea. Each day will conclude with a public meeting, after which the 200-250 permanent participants will return to their camps.
