Bihar Election Final Result Highlights: ‘We can’t digest this’, Akhilesh Yadav questions NDA’s Bihar win

The Congress party has fallen way below and is currently leading only one on seat.

It contested elections on 61 seats and so far, has not been able to go in double digits and after 8 hours of counting, the number has fallen to 1.

Congress candidate Qamrul Hoda is leading from Kishanganj seat by a margin of 18978 after 21 rounds of counting.

ECI officially declares first winner of the Bihar elections. JDU’s candidate from Kalyanpuri, Maheshwar Hazari has won the seat by a margin of 38586 votes.

On NDA crossing the majority mark in Bihar, UP Congress President Ajay Rai said the party will sit and analyse to see where they went wrong.

“What the government has done is unfair; they removed 65 lakh votes under SIR. They also transferred Rs 10,000 into women’s accounts before elections in an attempt to buy votes,” he said.

While the larger picture looks clear in Bihar, one serious problem has arisen for RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

He is, after 14 rounds of counting, is trailing from the RJD stronghold of Raghopur by a margin if 7,493 votes against BJP’s Satish Kumar.

Congress state president Harshvardhan Sapkal alleges vote theft in Bihar polls.

He said, “These elections were fought on the backdrop of vote theft, and a large-scale vote rigging took place. These results are surprising…”

SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav slams SIR for the opposition’s poor performance in Bihar elections.

In a post on X, he said, “The game that SIR played in Bihar will no longer be possible in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, UP, and other places now because this electoral conspiracy has been exposed. From now on, we will not let them play this game. Like CCTV, our ‘PPTV’ meaning ‘PDA Sentinel’ will stay vigilant and thwart the BJP’s intentions.”

“BJP is not a party, it is deceit,” he added.

BJP shares a tweet of PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar praising their leadership as NDA marches towards massive victory in the state.

“Jodi Modi-Nitish ji ke hit ho gayil, Bihar ke vikas repeat ho gayil (Modi-Nitish ji’s pair has hit it off, Bihar’s development will repeat again!)” the post read.

On the Bihar Assembly elections, an RJD supporter dressed as Lalu Yadav said, “…Hamari philosophy fail ho gayi, hamara lantern bujh gaya… Humne kaha tha, ‘Rahul Gandhi, aap Bihar mein aake jhoot mat bolo’…”

PM Narendra Modi will address BJP workers at Party HQ as NDA marches towards blockbuster victory in Bihar.

Reacting to NDA’s mammoth margin and march towards a landslide victory in Bihar elections, former Chhattisgarh CM and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel said the numbers are same as Amit Shah said.

“If there is one person responsible, he is Gynaesh Kumar. I extend my best wishes to him – he deserves all congratulations. The way the Election Commission has worked, Gyanesh Kumar has played a huge role, and I congratulate him,” he said.

It seems Bihar has followed PM Modi’s prediction on massive victory as the NDA is rallying ahead on 202 seats.

The RJD is struggling very hard on 25 seats.

In the Bihar elections 2020, the JDU performed poorly and the BJP was the second largest party. Then, RJD topped the tally.

However, things have just flipped with the RJD leading only on 25 seats and Chirag Paswan’s LJPRV doing a better show than him.

RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui calls the results “very disappointing”.

He added that the leaders must sit together and seriously deliberate on this matter.

The internet has taken out a video of PM Narendra Modi wherein he said that people should prepare for a “massive victory” celebration in the state on Nov 14.

It seems the same is going to be true as the alliance maintains strong lead on 198 seats out of 243.

Congress leader Udit Raj calls the trends a victory for the ECI’s SIR exercise and not a win for the NDA.

Alleging that votes were stolen, he said “…we raised objections till the end, but the Election Commission did not provide them in writing… In such a scenario, the results were bound to turn out this way.”

As trends predict victory for the NDA, Bollywood actor Phool Singh brings ‘Namo Rath’ in Patna. Talking to the media, “I am from Bihar, and this chariot is called the ‘Namo Rath.’ I have always regarded our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a god for many years. I always tell people to have faith in Modi, as he is a great leader of our nation…”

The counting of votes began at 8 am and it is already 4 hours and 30 minutes that the ECI officials have counting the votes.

As of now, the NDA is mounting ahead in the race with a massive lead on 194 seats. On the other hand, Tejashwi Yadav’s Mahagathbandhan is only ahead on 45 seats.

Raghopur sees Neck-and-neck fight as RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav is ahead of BJP candidate Satish Kumar by 219 votes, as per ECI trends.

Reacting to the trends, Congress’ Senior Observer for Bihar, Ashok Gehlot said the results are “disappointing, there is no doubt about it”.

However, he mentioned that the disbursal of Rs 10,000 to women, when when the Election Campaign was ongoing was not correct.

“…EC remained a mute spectator. Why did it not stop this? It should have, but it didn’t…This means that what Rahul Gandhi said for Vote Chori, this is what Vote Chori is. If fair elections are not held, if rigging takes place, if booth capturing takes place or there is cheating and money is being distributed – EC didn’t take any action, they were colluding with the ruling party,” Gehlot added.

The ECI trends predict a terrible number for the Mahagathbandhan. If the counting progresses on the present lines, the opposition might end up with 50-60 seats only.

But the biggest loss if for the RJD which seems to be falling from 74 to 35. What hurt them most – vote chori allegations, Congress in alliance or the Jungle Raj narrative.

The Jungle Raj narrative seems to have worked while “vote chori” looks like a complete failure.

As trends hint at landslide victory for the NDA, a new poster of CM Nitish Kumar has been put up in the state. “Humre Bihar Ka Eke Star, Har Baar Nitish Kumar…” is written on the poster, which has been displayed in Patna.

ECI trends show NDA leading on 188 seats, while MGB is struggling on 49 seats.

The Seemanchal region has turned out to be a big loss for the Mahagathbandhan as the NDA is leading on 17 of 24 seats.

AIMIM is ahead on 2 constituencies.

The overall trends on 243 seats for Bihar assembly is in and it shows a stunning performance by the NDA. The alliance is leading on 188 seats.

Meanwhile, the RJD is leading on 36 seats, which 39 less than what they won in 2020.

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party has shared a post on X on its dismal performance in the Bihar elections. It said people sold their votes for “RS 200/month”, hinting at NDA’s Rs 10,000 scheme for women.

“This election turned out to be a 10,000-rupee election. We sold our votes for a mere 200 rupees per month. When will we understand that our vote is worth far more than this,” the party said.

In a bad news for RJD and Lalu Yadav, both his sons — Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav are trailing for their respective constituencies of Raghopur and Mahua.

In Raghopur, Tejashwi is trailing by over 3000 votes to BJP’s Satish Kumar.

Whereas Tej Pratap Yadav stands at 4th position after 4 rounds of counting. He is trailing by over 10,500 votes.

On trends showing NDA’s victory in Bihar Assembly Elections, MP Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang said the numbers have “validated exit polls”.

“It is a matter of great satisfaction that the public sentiment, as reflected in the media exit polls, has indeed been validated. The NDA is forming the government in Bihar with a huge majority. This is a matter of joy. This is the victory of PM Narendra Modi. It is the victory of his double-engine government. It is undoubtedly a victory that reinforces the fact that the people of the country support politics centred on development and welfare…” Sarangi said.

Chirag Paswan’s LJP (RV) has outshined all expectations as it is leading on 22 of 29 seats in contested, as per ECI trends.

On the early trends, Congress leader Pawan Khera said they are waiting as the trends have just begun.

“The trends show Gyanesh Kumar Gupta is making an impact on the people of Bihar. The people have shown great courage despite issues like SIR and ‘vote chori’,” he said.

“How effective Gyanesh Kumar Gupta will be remains to be seen. This contest is between the Election Commission of India and the people of Bihar. There was a book called ‘To Serve with Love.’ Gyanesh Kumar Gupta is writing this book for PM Modi,” he added.

The JDU is leading the tally in official ECI trends with lead on 82 seats, while the BJP is leading on 78.
