Bihar Election 2025 Polling Voter Turnout Live Updates: Voting concluded for the second phase of Bihar elections on 122 constituencies. With this, the high-stakes Assembly elections have concluded. The Bihar Assembly Elections saw an impressive voter turnout, with women once again leading the way. In the first phase, 69.04% of women voted compared to 61.56% of men, making the total turnout 65.08%. In the second phase, women’s participation rose to 74.03%, while 64.1% of men voted, taking the total turnout to 68.76%. Overall, the average turnout across both phases was 66.91%, with 71.60% women and 62.80% men voting. This shows a clear 9% gap between female and male voters, highlighting the increasing political participation of women in Bihar.
Polling started at 7 am and ended at 5 pm with a voter turnout of . In this round, the fate of 1,302 candidates, including several ministers from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s cabinet, will be decided. This phase is also an important test for smaller NDA allies — the Hindustani Awam Morcha led by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha headed by Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha.
Around 8,491 polling station locations were marked as sensitive, where security forces will stay on high alert during voting. Some of the key constituencies that are going to vote on Tuesday include Purnia, Sitamarhi, Bettiah, Gaya Town, Kishanganj, Araria, Imamganj, Belaganj, and Jehanabad.
Will the ECI share gender-wise data after Phase 2?
RJD leader and INDIA bloc’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav questioned the Election Commission on Monday for not releasing gender-wise voter data even four days after the first phase of polling in Bihar.
An ECI Official has however said that those details are usually released after the final phase of voting, reported PTI. This means the gender-based turnout data will likely be made public once polling ends on November 11.
When will Bihar Exit Poll Results be released?
Exit polls in India are carried out by media networks and survey agencies right after voting ends. These polls give an early idea of voter mood and possible trends. For Bihar, the exit poll results are expected after 6:30 pm today, once the last phase of voting is over.

Another resident of the same village said that at his booth, names of several genuine voters have also been deleted.
“People are worried. They all live here. Only senior officials know why these names were removed,” the voter said.
