Bihar Elections 2025:: Nominations for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, covering 121 seats, will start tomorrow, October 10. However, both the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Grand Alliance have not finalised yet as to how they will divide the seats. In the next day or two, there will be intense talks, meetings, and discussions on seat-sharing. Within the NDA, leaders Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi have delayed decisions on seat distribution, while in the Grand Alliance, Mukesh Sahni and the CPI-ML hold the key to reaching an agreement, reports claim.

NDA and Opposition’s Grand Alliance yet to finalise seat-sharing

The BJP has prepared a list of potential candidates for 110 seats and sent it to Delhi on Wednesday. The Congress party has finalized candidates for 25 seats in the first phase. Other parties have also prepared their lists, but the names are expected to be announced only after the seat-sharing agreements are officially confirmed.

Congress has finalized its list of candidates for the first phase of 25 seats, even before completing the seat-sharing process. The Congress Election Committee approved the tickets at a meeting in Delhi on Wednesday. The party is believed to have chosen candidates for seats it considers safe, after discussions with the RJD and its allies.
