Bihar Assembly Election 2025: As Mahagathbandhan continues the hustle to finalise seat-sharing for the Bihar elections, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist)and CPI released their candidates list.

The CPI-ML declared the names on 18 seats, while CPI released names of 6 seats.

CPI-ML’s first list of candidates

The CPI(ML)’s first list includes 18 candidates:

The last day of filing nominations for the first phase of assembly polls in Bihar is October 17.

CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said he had called for declaration of seat distribution among Mahagathbandhan partners as just a few days were left for the last date of nomination for the first phase of Bihar polls.

The Mahagathbandhan comprises the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Mukesh Sahani’s Vikasheel Insaan Party, and Left-Wing parties. Discussions have been held by Congress leadership with leaders of its Bihar unit.

CPI’s candidate list

In its letter, the Communist Party of India has informed that in the first list for the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections 2025, it has fielded:

Ramratan Singh from Teghra

Suryakant Paswan from Bakhri (SC)

Awadhesh Kumar Rai from Bachhwara

Sanjay Kumar from Banka

Rakesh Kumar Pandey from Harlakhi

Ram Narayan Yadav from Jhanjharpur
