Karimnagar Election Result 2023: Gangula Kamalakar from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has won from the Karimnagar Assembly seat in Telangana by a margin of over 3,000 votes. He has garnered 92,176 votes against his rival Bandi Sanjay Kumar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who polled 89,016 votes. Congress candidate Purumalla Srinivas has polled 40,057 votes. Bandi Sanjay Kumar is the former state president of the BJP in Telangana from March 2020 to July 2023.Counting in the Sircilla constituency began at 8 AM. The results were declared after the completion of 25 rounds of counting.

Karimnagar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of Karimnagar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Karimnagar falls in Karimnagar district and North Telangana region of Telangana. It is categorised as an urban seat. The Karimnagar assembly constituency witnessed a strong contest featuring Gangula Kamalakar of the BRS party, Bandi Sanjay Kumar from the BJP, and Purumalla Srinivas representing the Congress.

The 2018 Telangana elections saw the BRS winning 88 seats, Congress securing 19 seats, and the BJP managing to secure just one seat.
