Rajasthan Key Constituencies 2023 LIVE Updates: Alwar MP Baba Balak Nath, who contested the elections from the Tijara seat, won with a margin of 6,173 votes. He defeated Congress candidate Imran Khan.
The election results for the 200 constituencies that went to polls in Rajasthan on November 23 are declared today. The BJP crossed the halfway mark in Rajasthan, winning 115 seats out of the 199 where assembly elections took place.
The state witnessed a total turnout of 74.96 per cent, slightly higher than the 74.06 per cent registered in the previous assembly elections in 2018. The Tijara constituency of Rajasthan is one of the general assembly constituencies.
Previous Assembly election in Tijara
In the 2018 assembly elections, Tijara, located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, was won by Sandeep Kumar of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) who defeated Aimaduddin Ahmad Khan alias Durru Mian of Congress by a margin of 4,457 votes, that is 2.40%. The Tijara Assembly constituency witnessed an 85.70% voter turnout, with 182,672 valid votes cast out of 213,153 registered voters.
The counting of votes commences in the state and the results will be declared today.
